Teen Racks up a $21,000 Cell Phone Bill

A Hayward man added his 13-year old to his cell phone account, and restricted calls and texts, but he forgot about downloads. The 13-year old downloaded over 1.5 Million KB of data and now, they have a $21k phone bill.

Wow.

They're trying to resolve this matter with Verizon, but I know someone who's phone is going to be taken away...

Verizon has decided to refund the account. Though 1.5M KB sounds like a lot, it really isn't.
Kudos to Verizon for reversing the charges. (I'm sure all the press didn't help with that decision)
